Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush Big Time Rush, an American
pop boy band was formed in the year 2009. The group is comprised of Kendall
Schmidt, James Maslow, Logan Henderson, and Carlos PenaVega. In 2009 they
signed with Nick Records before moving to Columbia Records. The group was
featured in Nickelodeon's television show Big Time Rush. The show aired from
November 28, 2009, to July 25, 2013. The pilot episode featured the group’s
first single promo, "Big Time Rush". The group released three studio
albums: BTR in 2010 and Elevate (2011), and 24/Seven (2013). The group in 2014
was on break for an indefinite time that lasted until 2021. They then returned
to live performances and then released "Call it Like I See It".
Nickelodeon signed Big Time Rush to a record deal in 2009 simultaneously with
the television series, Big Time Rush. Nickelodeon collaborated with
Columbia/Epic Label Group for production and music that is original. Their
debut single, "Big Time Rush" appeared on the series on the 29th of
November, 2009. Officially made public on Nickelodeon, it first aired in the
U.S. November 2009 and was later aired worldwide. The show premiered during a
one-hour special preview of the show and it is currently the show's theme for
opening. There were promotional singles released by the show which included
"City is Ours" (with Big Time Rush) and "Any Kind of Guy".
Big Time Rush also performed the Play song titled "Famous". The track
was released to iTunes on June 29th 2010. Following its series premiere Another
song, "Halfway There", was made available on iTunes on April 27,
2010. The band quickly made it their first chart-topping song on the Billboard
Hot 100. It hit 93 on the list thanks to digital sales. The second single by
Big Time Rush, "Till You Forget About You", was released on the 21st
of September in 2010. The purpose of the release was to announce their debut
album. The album, called BTR It was launched on the 11th of October in 2010.
The album debuted at the top of the charts, number 3 on the Billboard 200,
selling 67,000 copies in its first week of its release.
