Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix showed a flair in athletics from the beginning, and soon discovered her talent for sprinting during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within 10 weeks of her initial tryout, she placed in second place in the 200-meter race during the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003, Felix completed her high school graduation having signed a professional contract with the sports company Adidas and then enrolled at the University of Southern California where she was studying elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic prize at the 2004's Summer Olympics in Athens Greece. Felix ran 200 meters in 22.18s which set the new world junior record. She became the youngest world athlete to win the 200 meters in the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007 by beating her time-tested Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix participated at her first Olympics during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo consistently placing within the top three of her races.
