Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born the 18th of November 1985. She was born in Los Angeles. Her father Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley, and her mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix realized early on that she had an aptitude for running when attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Just 10 weeks after her first attempt, she finished in second place in the 200 meters at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix was a high school graduate when she graduated from school in 2003 signed the sports contract with Adidas. She then went to at the University of Southern California and studied elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece. Felix ran 200m in 22.18s, setting an all-time junior world record. She was the youngest to win the 200 meter during the World Championships held in Helsinki in the year 2005. She was able to defend her record the following year, defeating long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix had a steady performance in Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, and Tokyo. She always finished at the top of the podium in every event.
